A full-time research position for a freshwater biologist/ecologist is now open at the Kinneret Limnological Laboratory, Israel Oceanographic & Limnological Research (IOLR).

Job Description: We seek a highly motivated independent researcher in the fields of freshwater biology or freshwater ecology. The successful candidate is expected to conduct his/her investigations in the field and the laboratory, using modern techniques and approaches. The successful candidate is expected to assume responsibility for components of the Lake Kinneret monitoring program and develop new focuses for the monitoring program, cooperate with ongoing research projects at the Kinneret Limnological Laboratory, IOLR, to actively seek research grants from national and international funding agencies to help support his/her research and publish in high impact peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements: The applicant should hold a Ph.D. degree in natural sciences with research experience in the relevant field and a strong publication record.
Advantages: post-doc, experience in planning and conducting independent research, proposal writing, management of research at a national and international level. The candidate must currently be eligible to work in Israel.
The successful candidate will be positioned at the Kinneret Limnological Laboratory, IOLR. _________________________
