The Integrated Pest Management Center at the Northern R&D Department of MIGAL Galilee Research Institute located in Matityahu farm, Baram - Israel, is recruiting a Post-doc and a research assistant. The position is available from January 2023. Our lab focuses on integrated pest management of agricultural pests and agricultural waste management solutions. We are currently initiating several new studies related to the BSF investigating the potential of BSF larvae to break down agricultural waste and generate an alternative protein source for animal feed. We are also studying the use of the by-product (frass) as a soil amendment to enhance soil biodiversity and improve plant performance. In the near future, we intend to go deeper in understating the importance of BSF microbiome to improve productivity. We are searching for a Post-doc to join the group and coordinate these various projects. We encourage enthusiastic young researchers to initiate and lead novel research avenues in our lab related to BSF. We are also searching for a research assistant (preferably with a master’s degree) as an integral part of these projects. Please contact with CV:
